LUMEA COSMETICI RISPONDE
HERE IS ONE OF THE MOST FREQUENT AND COMPLEX QUESTIONS
At the Milan craft fair, we let many of you smell the three scented waters, recommending Ribes and magnolia as the sweetest. The result?
The olfactory notes are so subjective and vary so much depending on the type of skin, that not for everyone Ribes and magnolia is the sweetest, but often the sweetness prevails in Wildflowers.
The Ribes and magnolia scented water, having floral top notes, highlights the sweetness of magnolia, peony, and iris at first impact, unlike Wildflowers where the floral notes are in the heart of the perfume with iris, lily of the valley, and freesia, so they persist longer but are felt later.

What is an olfactory pyramid?
It is a scale that divides the olfactory notes based on the evaporation of the perfume's active ingredients and their persistence. It consists of three levels that illustrate the temporal development of the fragrance.
TOP notes are fresh and light and have weak persistence, they disappear in a few minutes but are the first to be perceived in the air and on the skin.
HEART notes are more powerful, more consistent than the top notes, and have medium persistence. For two or three they will intertwine with each other, creating the so-called "scent trail".
BASE notes are almost always made up of woods, musks, amber, and spicy notes and evaporate very slowly, persisting all day.

The olfactory mix of each fragrance also depends on your own skin which, depending on the different acidity, can vary the interpretation of the fragrance itself, enhancing one olfactory note more than another, or immediately bringing the base notes to the surface.

So which is the sweetest Lumea scented water?
In Ribes and magnolia we have the sweetest scent at first impact, which will evaporate leaving room for the fruity scent and finally slightly musky notes.

In Wildflowers instead, at first impact, we feel the sweetness of the fruits (therefore also slightly acidic) which will leave room for the floral, concluding with Vanilla and Amber.

In Woods and resins instead, at first impact, the spicy notes prevail, followed by the sweetness of rose and coconut, ending with woody and amber notes.
Ribes appears the sweetest, but if you pay attention and wait for the olfactory pyramid to fade, Wildflowers really is.
